About IEARG Award 2025

The Awards 2025 will be held on National Science Day, observed every year on 28 February to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect by the esteemed Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928. This event, in partnership with Sharda University, India, honors remarkable achievements in a variety of fields, with a total prize fund of 500,000 INR awarded across several categories.

The awards are organized by the MathTech Thinking Foundation (MTTF), a non-profit organization registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. MTTF focuses on advancing excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through a range of programs, including the EARG Awards. Why IEARG Awards?

The International Entrepreneurs, Academicians & Researchers Guild (International EARG) Awards recognize the remarkable achievements and innovative contributions of individuals in the fields of entrepreneurship, academia, and research. These prestigious awards celebrate trailblazers who demonstrate outstanding leadership, creativity, and influence, serving as inspirations for societal progress. The MathTech Thinking Foundation (MTTF) officially announced the inaugural International EARG Awards in 2024. Dedicated to honoring exceptional contributions and promoting global innovation, the first International EARG-2024 Awards ceremony was held on March 19, 2024, in partnership with Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur, India.

The International EARG Awards aim to honor and celebrate exceptional achievements in STEM fields, promote innovation, and foster global collaboration. By recognizing groundbreaking research and contributions, the awards encourage knowledge exchange and the development of interdisciplinary partnerships.

Nomination and Selection Process

  • Registration for Nominations: Interested candidates can register for nominations online via the official registration forms available on our website.
  • Application Submission:
    • Nominees have the option to apply for multiple award
    • Each category requires a separate application
    • Only one award will be declared to one
  • Required Documentation: Nominees must provide a comprehensive overview of their research and development efforts, , contribution, their impact in the respective category and, if applicable, letters of recommendation.
  • Evaluation by Expert Judges:
    • A distinguished panel of expert judges, consisting of renowned researchers and professionals in the field, will evaluate the nominations.
    • The judging panel will assess the nominations in accordance with the selection criteria and select the recipient(s) of the

EARG Award Categories and Eligibility

Each award category has distinct eligibility criteria designed to match its specific focus area. This approach ensures that a wide variety of individuals contributing to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are acknowledged for their outstanding work and influence on society. The nominations for this award will be categorized separately within different domains of the STEM field. The categories and eligibility of awards are given as:

(1)  Lifetime Achievement Award in Academia and Research

The Lifetime Achievement Award in Academia and Research is intended to honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to education, research, and scholarly endeavors throughout their careers. This prestigious award recognizes decades of dedication, innovation, and profound impact on their respective fields, inspiring future generations and shaping the future of knowledge. It celebrates a lifelong commitment to intellectual pursuits, leaving an enduring legacy in academia and research.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Career Duration: The nominee should have a minimum of 25 years of active involvement in academia and

Research Guide as Supervisor/Co-Supervisor: Experience in supervising or co-supervising doctoral and post-doctoral researchers.

MOOC Course Content Delivered: Development and delivery of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on platforms such as Swayam- NPTEL, Coursera, etc.

Keynote Speaker/Session Chaired/Paper Presented: Invitations to deliver keynote speeches, chair sessions, or present papers at national and international conferences.

Research Projects Handled: Leadership in pursuing or completing significant research projects.

(2)  Excellence in Academic Leadership Award

The Excellence in Academic Leadership Award is designed to honor and celebrate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in academia. This prestigious award acknowledges those who have made significant contributions to the advancement of education, research, and innovation on a global scale.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Academic Position: The nominee must hold or have held a senior academic leadership position such as Dean, Department Head, President, Vice-President, Chancellor, or equivalent roles in recognized educational institutions.
  • Experience: The nominee should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in academic leadership roles, demonstrating a consistent track record of excellence and impact.
  • Contributions to Education: Significant involvement in the development and implementation of innovative educational programs and curricula. Demonstrated commitment to enhancing the quality of education through effective teaching methodologies, academic policies, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Research Excellence: A strong record of research contributions, including publications in reputable journals, books, and conference presentations. Leadership in securing research funding, fostering research collaborations, and mentoring emerging scholars.
  • Innovation and Impact: Proven ability to drive institutional growth and development through strategic planning, resource management, and policy-making. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Award for International Achievement, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated International Engagement: The candidate must have shown consistent involvement in international activities, such as research collaborations, academic exchanges, global partnerships, or international projects.
  • Institutional Affiliation: The candidate must be a current member of the institution, which includes faculty, staff, or students who have been actively engaged in advancing the institution’s international mission.
  • Impact and Recognition: The candidate’s efforts should have led to significant recognition and enhanced the institution’s reputation on the global stage. This can include awards, publications, presentations, or other forms of acknowledgment from international bodies.
  • Commitment to Global Initiatives: The candidate must have a demonstrated commitment to promoting international understanding, cross-cultural exchange, and global collaboration.

Full-time Faculty: The nominee should be a full-time faculty member with the rank of full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor, with at least three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

The Innovative Excellence Award celebrates global innovators, research groups, and organizations shaping the future of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Aligned with the mission of the MathTech Thinking Foundation (MTTF), this award promotes collaboration and acknowledges individuals and groups making significant contributions to STEM, ultimately benefiting society.

(6)  Award for Outstanding Faculty

The ‘Outstanding Faculty’ award aims to honor senior faculty members who consistently demonstrate exceptional performance and excellence in advancing the institution’s goals and fulfilling its mission. This recognition celebrates their remarkable achievements in teaching, mentoring students and junior faculty, conducting research or creative projects, contributing to service initiatives, and engaging in other activities that have brought distinction to both them and the institution.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Faculty Rank: Faculty members holding the position of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Academic Excellence: The nominee must demonstrate a consistent record of academic excellence in teaching, research, and/or service. Evidence of high-quality teaching and innovative curriculum development. A distinguished record of research accomplishments, including publications, grants, and contributions to scholarly literature.
  • Positive Impact: The nominee should have made a significant, positive impact on students, colleagues, and the institution. Mentoring students and junior faculty, fostering their academic and professional growth. Contribution to the development and success of the institution’s programs and initiatives.
  • Innovative Contributions: The nominee should have contributed innovative teaching methods, research, or other valuable initiatives to the academic community. Implementation of new technologies or methodologies that enhance learning and research. Development of interdisciplinary programs or collaborative projects that advance the institution’s mission.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: The nominee must exhibit leadership qualities and demonstrate effective collaboration with colleagues, departments, and the broader academic community. The Young Researcher Award by the MathTech Thinking Foundation (MTTF) aims to recognize and promote outstanding achievements and contributions made by young scholars in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields of research and innovation. This award acknowledges the dedication, creativity, and impact of emerging researchers and practitioners who are making significant strides in their respective domains.

To submit the nomination form for the IEARG Awards, you need to prepare the following documents:

  • List of publications (including up to three key papers as attachments)
